THIS WEEK IN DISNEY HISTORY

October 31, 1912 - Animator Ollie Johnston is born in Palo Alto, California. He will become one of Walt's "Nine Old Men," working on countless Disney animated classics, and be named a Disney Legend.

October 27, 1954 - Walt Disney's very first television series, "Disneyland," premieres on ABC. The show marks Disney's pioneering step into the new medium.

October 29, 1979 - The 100-millionth Guest enters Walt Disney World Resort.
